This is a crochet book with a difference, the English version of Hekel en word heel. Women share stories of how crochet helped them through tough and dark times in their lives. The stories cover loss, work stress, depression, illness, the death of a child, as well as emotional and physical abuse.
Twenty-one brave women open their hearts and tell their poignant stories of battle and eventual victory. Circumstances that cannot be changed are treated constructively and creatively throughout and Crochet and Conquer celebrates these women’s unbreakable spirit. The reader will be inspired with hope upon reading these stories.
We have designed a motif for each of the women’s stories and used it to make personal and household items. Advanced techniques have been used throughout to get the best possible result. Enthusiastic beginners will also find suitable patterns
and the book contains references to resources if needed.
Lastly, bright colours have been utilised – multiple colours to brighten your day.
